They should be available for 24-hour emergency service. The ideal company would be a family owned and fully operated company. Look for references, Trusted and be a local resident or neighbor in your community.

Can I repair my overhead garage door and/or operator myself?

It is not recommended that you do repairs on your own door and/or opener. Thousands of garage door and opener accidents and injuries occur each year due to improperly balanced and maintained doors or openers. Further, many of the parts (especially the springs) are dangerous and should only be repaired by experienced overhead garage door technicians. The question you should ask yourself is: "The safety of myself and my family is at stake. Is this something I feel comfortable doing?"

How often should my overhead garage door and operator be serviced?

Your overhead garage door is the largest piece of moving equipment in your home. Most families use their garage door more than their front door. We at Integrity / Discount Garage Door Services perform an unprecedented 21-point safety inspection on all doors and operators we service.

How can I tell if I need a repair or a whole door replacement?

Many times, your overhead garage door can be repaired. If the sections of your door are damaged (dented, cracked or bowed) you are most likely going to need a new door.
